This Privacy Policy explains how ZY App Studio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the NVH Auto Volume By Speed mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 and international privacy standards.
1. Information We Collect
Location & Speed Data (On-Device Real-Time Processing):
To calculate your vehicle’s driving speed and automatically adjust your audio volume, the App requires access to your device's GPS / Location services.
Important: All location and speed calculations are processed exclusively in real time on your local device. We do not log, store, track, transmit, or sell your location history, movement paths, or speed logs to any external server or third party.
App Configurations & Preferences:
Your custom settings—such as speed thresholds, volume gain curves, noise sensitivity preferences, and UI themes—are stored locally on your device using Android local storage (
SharedPreferences).Device Permissions: With your explicit consent, the App may request access to:
Location Access (GPS): Required strictly to calculate speed updates while the app is active.
Audio / System Settings (
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Required to dynamically adjust your device's media volume level based on speed changes.Foreground Service & Notifications: Required to display a persistent status notification, allowing the App to safely monitor speed and adjust volume in the background while you are using navigation apps or playing music.
Diagnostic & Usage Data:
We may automatically collect non-personally identifiable technical data (e.g., anonymous crash reports, device model, operating system version, and performance metrics) to help us identify bugs, improve UI responsiveness, and optimize system efficiency.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the processed data strictly to:
Provide Core Functionality: Calculate vehicle speed in real time to automatically scale media volume levels, compensating for cabin noise, road vibrations, and engine sounds (NVH) while driving.
Personalize Your Experience: Save your custom volume curves, minimum/maximum audio safety caps, and layout preferences locally on your device.
Maintain & Improve Services: Analyze anonymous crash reports and hardware performance metrics to optimize battery consumption and release system stability updates.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or broadcast your location or personal data. We may share non-sensitive technical information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: Trusted third-party diagnostic vendors (such as automated crash-reporting tools) that help us diagnose app crashes and optimize stability.
Legal Requirements: If required to do so by applicable laws, valid legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of company assets, anonymized diagnostic performance metrics may be transferred as part of business operations.
4. International Data Transfers
If cloud-based diagnostic or analytics services are utilized, non-personally identifiable performance logs may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside of your state or country. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of non-sensitive diagnostic data to these secure infrastructure providers.
5. Your Privacy Rights & Controls
Under applicable privacy laws, including the Malaysian PDPA, you maintain full control over your device data:
Data Reset & Deletion: Since your app settings and curves are saved locally on your device, you can reset or clear them at any time directly within the App settings or by clearing the App's storage via your Android Device Settings.
Permission Management: You can grant, revoke, or modify Location, Audio, or Notification permissions at any time via your device settings (Settings > Apps > NVH Auto Volume By Speed > Permissions).
(Note: Revoking Location permission will prevent the App from calculating speed and performing auto-volume adjustments).
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and operational security measures to protect your preferences and ensure local calculations remain private. Because location data is processed locally and never stored on remote servers, your movement privacy remains securely on your device.
